Liverpool’s summer transfer plans have been dealt a blow with Julian Brandt agreeing to move to Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
As reported by the Mirror, who quote German outlet, Bild, Jurgen Klopp’s summer transfer plans have been dealt a blow, with the German believed to be keen on the winger for next season.
Brandt, who has starred for Bayer Leverkusen this season, is set for a €30 million move to Carlo Ancelotti’s side this summer.
Leverkusen have been forced to sell, despite the player being under contract until 2019. The German side faced the prospect of losing the player for less than half of the €30 million next summer.
Brandt was linked with a January move to Anfield to fill the void left by Sadio Mane, who was away at the African Cup of Nations, but the player remained in the Bundesliga.
The 20-year-old has scored three goals in all competitions this season and has six assists to his name.
