Mohamed Salah’s boots added to British Museum collection

Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah has had a pair of his boots added to a collection at th Bitish Museum, according to the Independent.

The Adidas X17 Deadly Strike boots of Salah’s have been given to the British Museum after the Egyptian won the Premier League’s Golden Boot.

Salah has been superb this season, scoring 32 Premier League goals and playing a major part in the Reds’ run to the Champions League final, where they will face Real Madrid.

They boots are set to be on display in London next week, in the gallery 61 section. ahead of the meeting with Madrid.

The Egyptian exhibition at the museum was launched in 2016 and Salah’s boots are the first of a number of different items which will be put in there over the next few weeks.

A statement from the museum explained why they had decided to display Salah’s boots:

This acquisition brings the British Museum’s world famous Egyptian collection right up to date.
