Italian agent Giovanni Branchini has confirmed that Liverpool’s main transfer target Naby Keita will have a release clause in his contract, however, only can be activated next summer, speaking to Calciomercato.
Keita has been top of Jurgen Klopp’s summer transfer target list for some time and it looks like a deal for the midfielder may well drag out into next year.

Talking to Italian paper La Gazzetta dello Sport the agent said: “He has a release clause that can be activated from next summer. RB Leipzig don’t want to sell him now but if he leaves he will be joining Liverpool, not Inter.”
This has left a bittersweet taste with Liverpool fans as it looks like all parties expect Keita to leave the German club for Anfield, however, this may not be until next year as Leipzig may sit tight on their stance for Keita, unless Liverpool launch a bid they cannot turn down.
