That was not a classic encounter at all!
In fact, the worst game of football I’ve had the privilege of witnessing in a while.
Oh well, Liverpool did what they needed to do to top the group. Now theoretically, the Reds should get an easier draw in the next round.
The disappointment after the weekend’s loss to Newcastle pointed to a reaction from Jurgen Klopp’s men. It wasn’t to be, though.
The pitch was terrible, that didn’t help. Liverpool came to play football, Sion looked like they came to get the point they needed to qualify and in the end, it looked like both sides were more than satisfied for the game to finish as a boring stalemate.
The Reds were probably the better side on the whole and were definitely the more aggressive of the two sides, but in truth, neither side looked like scoring.
