Liverpool set their price for Harry Wilson

Liverpool are said to be holding out for a fee of £20 million for their wanted winger Harry Wilson, as claimed by the Daily Mirror’s David Anderson.

Wilson, 23-years-old, spent last season on loan with a relegated AFC Bournemouth and has been the attention of much speculation this summer, with Aston Villa apparently showing the most interest.

However, the Welshman is yet to be subject from a bid by either party or from elsewhere, and the Reds’ valuation may be the reason why.

The Premier League champions are steadfast on getting the best possible price for the talented winger, albeit unlikely he would get many opportunities in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team squad in the near future.

In recent times the club has become well renowned for its savvy business in the transfer market, and with Micahel Edwards pulling the transfer strings, Wilson is unlikely to be allowed to leave on the cheap.

The forward enjoyed a decent personal campaign on the south coast scoring seven goals in 35 appearances, to follow his 15 Championship goals in 2018/19 for what was then Frank Lampard’s Derby County.

Should one of the many clubs interested in the 23-year-old stump up the adequate fee it would come as a timely boost for Klopp’s own transfer kitty as he looks to fine-tune his squad for the 2020/21 season.
