Player Ratings: The Season So Far

It’s official – after months of insult-hurling, scandalous revelations, and continued promises to build one very long wall in particular, Donald Trump has finally defeated Hillary Clinton in the race to become the next President of the United States, and will soon take up residence in the White House. Many people have been left dazed, confused, and even a little scared by the result of last night’s election, and there is a general feeling of uncertainty throughout the world as to what the future holds.

But it’s not all bad. In fact, if you’re a Liverpool supporter, things are pretty rosy right now. The Reds are top of the league by a point going into the international break, with a sizeable goal difference and only one defeat so far this season.

We have arguably the most potent attack in England with an impressive thirty-goal haul in the league alone. Our forwards are creative, hard-working, and racking up more individual goals and assists with each passing game; our midfield is industrious and dominates the opposition; our defence is increasingly solid and well-balanced; and our goalie options are improved on the last few seasons. Things can still get better, of course, but so far Klopp’s team have probably exceeded expectations and currently find themselves in a great position with a third of the season already gone.

Let’s take a look at how each player has performed up to this point. For the sake of time, I haven’t included those who’ve only had a few minutes off the bench or played primarily in the League Cup.
