Adam Lallana will return to England training despite receiving an extra week off due to Liverpool’s involvement in the Champions League final at the weekend, Sky Sports reports.
Lallana will join up with the rest of the England squad on Wednesday evening at The Grove before taking part in a full training session on Thursday.
The midfielder is on Gareth Southgate’s standby list for the World Cup having only started one Premier League game for his club this season because of injury.
Fellow Liverpool team-mates Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold won’t be training with the rest of the England squad on Thursday as they look to utilise their full week off.
England take on Nigeria in a friendly at Wembley on Saturday, but both Henderson and Alexander-Arnold will not feature. Both players will however train on their own at St George’s Park on Sunday before joining up with the rest of Southgate’s squad on Monday.
