‘Amazing’ – Milos Kerkez blown away by what Liverpool player did vs Como

Liverpool stepped up their preparations for the 2026-27 Premier League season with a 2-0 win against Como at Anfield.

It was a commanding first-half display from the Reds, especially in the first half, as they fielded a strong XI with one eye on the Newcastle United clash next week.

The game also saw Jeremy Jacquet and Ronald Araujo make their debuts for the club and it’s safe to say both of them fared quite well.

However, it was Jacquet who earned rave reviews for his performance as he led the backline and scored a goal to cap off a sensational performance.

Milos Kerkez lauds Jeremy Jacquet’s Liverpool debut

Speaking after the game, Milos Kerkez was full of praise for the Liverpool debutant.

“Defensively, calm on the ball, aggressive. Amazing,” said the Hungarian defender.

Liverpool have erred on the side of caution with the Frenchman so far as he finally made his long-awaited debut for the club.

And if he carries on in the same vein, he will go on to become one of the titans of this football club as his performance at the back showed just how good he can be.

Jacquet is expected to keep his place in the team when Liverpool travel to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle in the Premier League opener next week.
