According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are close to agreeing the loan signing of Everton winger Yannick Bolasie. This will spell the end of Villa’s interest in Sheyi Ojo as it is thought it will be one or the other for Villa, not both.
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce said:
We’re trying. We hope we can get something over the line. We’re hopeful Bolasie can get over the line. Hopefully we can announce something later on today.
Villa also announced the signing of Dutch winger Anwar El Ghazi on loan, decreasing the likelihood of Ojo moving to the West Midlands even further.

Middlesbrough are said to be the other team in contention for Yannick Bolasie and were previously interested in Ojo’s services. If they were to lose out to Villa for Bolasie, they could potentially see Ojo as the perfect alternative.
Regardless of where Ojo may go on loan to, one thing for sure is that he needs to play games. He is not high up the pecking order at Liverpool and will find it hard to get game if he stays at Anfield.
