Liverpool forward Christian Benteke has been involved in controversy this season after joining from Aston Villa, admitting, as reported by the Mail, that he doesn’t understand why he is being overlooked.
The Belgian forward has started just 12 league games for the Reds and West Ham United are one Premier League side interested in taking him off Jurgen Klopp’s hands, as per the Mirror.
Darren Lewis of the Mirror claims that Atletico Madrid have joined the Hammers and Juventus in the race to sign Benteke, who has been made available for sale by Klopp.

Despite the Spanish club wanting his signature, Liverpool have, according to Lewis, offered to swap Benteke with Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes, who is currently on loan at Empoli.
The Reds are aiming to recover some of the £32.5m that they spent on him in the summer, so they are likely to put a rather high price tag on him so they don’t lose too much money from last summer’s transfer.
The Mirror state that Liverpool have held informal talks with Watford over Odion Ighalo, but a deal is looking unlikely.
