Barcelona will rival Liverpool in the race to sign Real Betis left-back Junior Firpo this summer, according to Spanish outlet Marca, cited by HITC.
The report suggests that the Spanish giants see the left-back as excellent competition to first-choice full-back Jordi Alba.
Liverpool have reportedly been showing the strongest interest in the player, with Manchester United also keen on the 22-year-old.

Firpo looks set to move on ahead of the new season, with the left-back having a €50 million release clause in his current contract.
Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the youngster, with Firpo recently playing a key role in Spain’s Under 21 European Championship victory.
The German wouldn’t be able to guarantee the full-back regular first-team action, with Andrew Robertson making the left-back spot his own in recent years.
It remains unclear as to where Firpo’s preferred destination is this summer, however, with the Reds and Barcelona not able to guarantee him regular football, Liverpool’s rivals Manchester United could well be in pole position to land the Spaniard.
