Liverpool outcast Alberto Moreno is among a number of left-backs Barcelona are reportedly targeting this summer, along with Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal and Atletico Madrid star Filipe Luis.
According to Sport, Ernesto Valverde has drawn up a shortlist of low-cost, experienced players to provide back-up for Jordi Alba once the 2019-20 season gets underway.
The Spaniard put pen to paper on a new contract running until 2024 on Thursday and is set to act as first-choice for years to come, but the La Liga leaders are thin on left-sided defenders.
He’s almost made 150 appearances for Liverpool since arriving from Sevilla in 2014, but Moreno has featured just twice in the Premier League this season due to Andrew Robertson’s impressive consistency under Jurgen Klopp.

The 26-year-old’s current deal on Merseyside expires at the end of the campaign and he could very well be tempted by a move back to his homeland Spain.
Whilst Liverpool pursue their first ever Premier League crown and lead Manchester City by one point at the table summit, Barcelona find themselves seven points ahead of Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga.
If they are to claim their 26th Spanish title this term, Moreno would certainly be joining the club at the right time.
