Rafa Benitez has spoken about the forthcoming Champions League quarter-final tie between Liverpool and Manchester City and has said that the tie could come down to one detail, as per a report from the Liverpool Echo.
The Newcastle United manager believes that the two teams are brilliant and among Europe’s best, and so the tie will be immensely close and may be decided on one moment of the 180 minutes, which will see one English team into the semi-final of the Champions League.
He also recalled the Champions League midweek atmospheres at Anfield, of which he encountered many times during his spell as Liverpool boss between 2004 and 2010. This tenure saw him gain a Champions League winners medal in Istanbul in 2005.

The ex-Liverpool boss has said in a recent interview:
To play at Anfield was always fantastic, when you were playing at home. To play at night in the Champions League was massive.
Definitely (Liverpool can win it) they are a good team. Obviously they will play against a very good team too, but I think both teams are really good and I cannot say ‘it will be this one or the other one’ as they are so close in so many things, maybe (it will come down to) one detail.
Remember the game in the league was 4-3 to Liverpool so they are very close both teams. I think it will be an exciting game.
The Reds will be desperate to make their home advantage count this evening, with a blockbuster of a clash surely in the offing at Anfield.
