Philippe Coutinho is close to agreeing a new four year contract with Liverpool.
The Daily Mail report that the 22 year-old Brazilian, whose current deal expires in 2018, is the main man in Brendan Rodgers’ future plans. After months of negotiations, Coutinho’s contract talks are finally drawing to a conclusion.
Coutinho has been at the Reds since 2013 now and the Brazilian looks settled and his football is doing the talking. He’s been one of the multiple reasons Liverpool’s form has improved significantly.
Coutinho’s form has improved and manager, Brendan Rodgers was quick to heap the praise on the #10:
“He was outstanding the other night. It was a difficult start to the season for him, when you think of Phil Coutinho, he has that bit of magic to make the key pass in the final third and combines with people ahead of him so well.”
Rodgers also added:
“Last year he had Suarez and Sturridge to make those passes to and he could work well with their style. At the beginning of the season, he didn’t have that.”
