Liverpool and Manchester City will lock horns at Anfield on Sunday in what promises to be an intriguing game of Premier League football.
The Reds are unbeaten under Andoni Iraola this season, but the Cityzens have won every game under Enzo Maresca, who has enjoyed a fantastic start to life in Manchester after replacing Pep Guardiola at the helm.
Both sides are playing some good football and are expected to compete at the top end of the Premier League table this season.
And Iraola feels Liverpool need to defend well, adding that they have the firepower to hurt Manchester City on the other end.
Andoni Iraola speaks ahead of Liverpool vs Manchester City
“We’ve been unbeaten but they’ve won all of them, so it makes a big difference in their side,” said the Spaniard via Liverpool’s official website.
“I think we need to be very, very good if we want to beat City because they’ve been especially offensively scoring a lot of goals lately.
“We know the names that are very dangerous. But I think also we’ve shown good defensive improvements lately and I hope we can defend the threats that they have and also hurt them on the other side.”
To be quite honest, City and everyone associated with the club will be a bit on edge after their recent sanctions, so Liverpool will look to inflict more misery on them with a headline result at Anfield.
