Everton defender Lucas Digne has revealed that he previously declined two opportunities to join Liverpool.
The left-back spoke to France Football for a recent interview, as cited by GFFN via Twitter, and spoke of how he rejected the chance to arrive at Anfield on two separate occasions.
Digne said:
I have rejected a move to Liverpool twice in my career.
During last year’s summer transfer window, the Frenchman completed a move to Everton after falling out of favour at Barcelona.

Liverpool are well covered with options on the left-hand side of the defence, with Andy Robertson emerging as one of the best players in his position in world football.
However, it seems in previous years, the Reds have pursued a deal for Digne on more than one occasion, with the ex-Paris Saint-Germain star in high demand during past transfer windows.
The 25-year-old may be regretting his decision to pass up the chance to join Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp’s men sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table.
