Divock Origi‘s time as a Liverpool player appears to be hurtling towards its final days as the Belgian striker attracts interest from all around Europe.
Since the heady days of Merseyside derby winners and Champions League final goals, Origi’s performances have nosedived; andit seems there is now unanimous agreement among Kopites that the 25-year-old is best served to leave the club.
Having earlier this week reported Inter Milan’s interest in signing the Liverpool cult hero, Corriere Dello Sport stated on Tuesday that Origi’s future will be discussed imminently at the San Siro.
The Italian outlet added that the Belgian is ‘attracted’ to a transfer to the Serie A side because he would ‘find’ Romelu Lukaku, his international striking teammate.
Once a favourite of Jurgen Klopp’s, the former Lille forward has only seen seven minutes of Premier League action this season, a dramatic decline on the 28 appearances he made last term.

Inter Milan seem to have their heart set on a loan deal until the end of the season for Origi, a deal which would, on the face of things, make little sense for the Reds.
If Origi is surplus to requirements at Anfield with the form of Diogo Jota prior to his injury as well as the contributions of Takumi Minamino and Xherdan Shaqiri, then a temporary departure without a worthwhile fee doesn’t benefit the club.
If Klopp still sees the Belgian’s long-term future as part of his squad, that would at least explain the reluctance to allow the player to leave permanently. However, with the club needing to fund a transfer for a new centre-back in January, money in the coffers from selling Origi would be a timely boost.
