Divock Origi could be sent out on loan

According to the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Divock Origi could be sent out on loan if he manages to add some new additions to the squad before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday evening.

The young Belgian international has found his playing time limited to just 10 minutes this season, and he was excluded from the squad that humiliated Arsenal 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.

With Liverpool’s potent strike force of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Daniel Sturridge, it’s difficult to see Origi being able to force his way back into the starting line-up. To add to this, Danny Ings will soon be fully fit and Dom Solanke seems to have leapfrogged him in the pecking order too.

Therefore, it might be best for Origi if he goes out on loan to a club where he is guaranteed regular playing time. However, Klopp has stated that this will all depend on whether he can get some new faces through the doors.

When asked about the possibility of signing more players before the transfer window closes and the possibility of Origi being sent out on loan, Klopp responded:

We will see. That’s not something to talk about here. If players come in, I think it makes sense to think about what we do on the other side. They’re obviously involved in this (the players). I’m not sure, we will see, you have to wait. No games now so I hope you can enjoy the next five or six days with all the rumours and all that stuff. I’m not looking forward to it but it’s part of the game.
