As the international break looms, England and former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is considering resting four Liverpool players – according to The Daily Telegraph.
There has been previous tension between the England and Liverpool camps that was mostly down to the Daniel Sturridge injury back in September.
The Liverpool camp insisted on Sturridge having an extra day off from training so he could recover due to previous injury experiences. However, he trained and consequently picked up an injury which kept him out for a lengthy period of time.
This understandably angered Brendan Rodgers and this decision could be due to previous between the two.
Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana are the four that are likely to be rested.
This is brilliant news for Liverpool fans as the quartet have played so much football of late and especially with Sturridge still aiming to return to full condition.
Liverpool play Arsenal just four days after England’s last international game and this would allow the players to get themselves in peak condition for the Saturday lunchtime fixture.
