Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has agreed to sign for Brighton & Hove Albion.
Reports emerged last night suggesting that The Seagulls were leading the race to sign the 32-year-old and a source with a close knowledge of the deal has exclusively told Read Liverpool that the former England international has now agreed to join Graham Potter’s squad for the 2020/21 season.
Lallana will report to Melwood today to collect his belongings and say his final goodbyes to the staff and his teammates and as such, he won’t be part of the squad that travels to the North East to face Newcastle for the final game of the season tomorrow.
Lallana will leave Liverpool after six years and will do so having won the Champions League, Premier League, Super Cup and Club World Cup.
The official announcement of his signing should be made in the next few days as Brighton have beaten the likes of Burnley and Leicester to his signature.
