Despite playing brilliantly in the run-in towards the end of the season, the former Monaco star has not been picked in the squad by national team boss Tite.
The 57-year-old has instead opted for Allan, Fernandinho, Lucas Paqueta, Phillippe Coutinho, Arthur and Casemiro as his midfielders for the tournament.
Fabinho’s Liverpool teammates Alisson and Roberto Firmino have earned a place in the squad.
Fabinho will be disappointed to have missed out on a place in the squad after his great form has helped Liverpool, especially in the Champions League as they shocked Barcelona to oust them from the competition.

Fabinho can now direct all of his focus to the final which takes place in Madrid on June 1 against Tottenham Hotspur.
Both Firmino and Alisson will likely be vying for starting berths in the Brazil team.
Firmino will be fighting it out with Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus for a place in the starting line-up, while Alisson will be competing with City stopper Ederson for the number one spot.
Brazil will host this year’s Copa America, which they get underway against Bolivia on June 14.
Tite’s side also face Peru in their group, before the knockout stages get underway on July 2.
