‘Haven’t’ – Chris Sutton delivers grim verdict on Liverpool after Fulham draw

It wasn’t a happy outing for Liverpool as they were held to a goalless draw by Fulham in an uneventful game of football.

Andoni Iraola’s side never really got going and could not build on their newfound momentum after wins against Ipswich Town and Atletico Madrid.

The Reds didn’t have too many clear-cut chances to score and it could be argued that Fulham were the better of the two sides overall.

And after the game, Chris Sutton feels Liverpool simply weren’t good enough in what was a sobering night at Anfield.

Chris Sutton says Liverpool simply weren’t good enough

“Liverpool all afternoon just haven’t been good enough; they haven’t been creative enough,” said the Englishman via the BBC.

“Fulham have played the better football; they might be thinking that they should’ve come away with a goal. But I’m sure they’ll be happy with a point.”

Iraola’s side saw a lot of the ball but couldn’t do too many meaningful things with it as Fulham thwarted their efforts to find the elusive goal.

In fact, Alvaro Arbeloa’s side played better overall and had better chances to score, so that isn’t a good look for the Reds considering they played at home against a side coming on the back of three successive defeats.
