Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has urged Jurgen Klopp to start current Reds captain Jordan Henderson against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final.
The former Sunderland man has been a regular under Klopp in all competitions this season, with the England international being used in a more advanced role in recent months.

The 28-year-old came in for plenty of praise in the Reds’ remarkable second leg performance against Barcelona, with the midfielder taking painkillers plus an injection on his knee to carry on against the Spanish giants.
Henderson looks set to lead Liverpool out in a second successive Champions League final, becoming the first man since Gerrard to do so.
And talking to BBC Radio 5Live, cited by the Liverpool Echo, Gerrard, the current boss of Rangers, heaped praise on the current Liverpool captain, stating the midfielder has to start in Madrid.
I know what he’s like on and off the pitch. He puts himself behind everyone else, he’s just that type of person.
I think he’s more than capable of winning any football match that he’s playing in and I think of late, certainly since he’s been playing a further forward role, he’s taken more responsibility and has been one of Liverpool’s most consistent players. 100%.
Jordan Henderson has got to start.
Klopp looks set to welcome back Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah into the starting line-up in Madrid, after the pair missed Liverpool’s 4-0 semi-final win over Barcelona.
