Liverpool have recalled winger Jordon Ibe from his loan spell with Championship side Derby County.
The 19-year-old arrived at the iPro Stadium on August 29th, and made 24 appearances in all competitions for the Rams, scoring five goals.
Ibe will not be transferred elsewhere – he will remain with the Reds who are keen to keep hold of the pacey wide man.
There have been reports linking Liverpool with bringing Belgian striker Divock Origi to Merseyside six months early, but it’s the England Under-20 international who will return ahead of schedule.
The promising teenager will bolster Brendan Rodgers’ squad as they look to compete for a place in the Premier League top four, as well as the Europa League, FA Cup, and Capital One Cup.
Ibe joined Liverpool from Wycome Wanderers in 2012, and has played two Premier League games for last season’s runners up – the first of which came in Jamie Carragher’s farewell game against Queens Park Rangers in May 2013.
He spent last season on loan at Birmingham City, whom he represented 11 times.
