18-year-old Jack Cain has signed a new contract with Liverpool, less than a year after he signed his first professional deal with the club.
Cain, who despite his young age is a regular in the Liverpool U23 side, made his official first-team debut for the club during the FA Cup replay victory over Shrewsbury Town at Anfield earlier this season.
He’s one of the youngsters who often trains with the first-team at Melwood and it looks like he’s impressed Liverpool’s staff as he’s been awarded a new contract.

Breaking through at Liverpool isn’t easy but Jurgen Klopp has shown a willingness to select players from the academy and give them a chance to prove themselves.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is an example of this, whilst Neco Williams is another who has earned himself a role in the first-team in recent weeks.
Cain has plenty of time on his side and if he continues to develop, he too could find himself as a Reds’ regular in the future.
