The Liverpool midfielder has assisted nine times in this season’s competition, beating the previous record of eight set by both Wayne Rooney in 2013/14 and Neymar last season.
His corner was headed home by Roberto Firmino to put Liverpool 5-0 up and hand him the record.

Liverpool went on to win the game 5-2, and will be confident of reaching the final in Kiev on May 26.
Firmino isn’t far behind his Liverpool colleague, with seven assists of his own to go alongside the 10 goals he has managed to bag, including two last night.
The attack of Jurgen Klopp’s side has gone from strength to strength this season with that being most evident in Europe.
Liverpool have scored the most goals in this year’s tournament, 38 in total, 11 more than second placed PSG.
