Despite all of the positives that came out of Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace, there was a bit of bad news too as Jordan Henderson was taken off with what was later revealed to be an injury.
The Reds’ captain was replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and was later spotted putting an ice pack on his right quadriceps whilst sitting on the bench.
At this time, there has been no word about the severity of the issue or if it will impact Henderson’s availability for next week’s clash with Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium, where Liverpool could be battling to win the Premier League title, if City are able to defeat an in-form Chelsea on Thursday evening.
The good news for Liverpool is that they have eight days to rest before that trip to Manchester, whilst City will play two games between now and then, and Jurgen Klopp will be hopeful of having his captain fit and firing.
