Liverpool are reportedly ready to firm up their interest in Real Madrid star Marco Asensio.
According to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, cited by Sports Witness, Jurgen Klopp is keen on signing the Spaniard this summer and will give the green light for the Reds to spend up to €75 million on the 23-year-old.
The report goes on to add that Klopp sees the Spaniard as a perfect addition to his side, however, Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is keen on keeping hold of the playmaker and may only sanction a deal if Sadio Mane heads to the Bernabeu.
Liverpool will rebuff any approaches for Mane in the coming weeks and will only look to do a deal for Asensio without any players heading the other way.
The left-footed star has made over 130 appearances for Madrid since joining from Mallorca back in 2015, and Asensio may well end his four-year association with the Spanish giants for a move to Merseyside if the latest reports are to be believed.
