Former Stoke City player and pundit Chris Kamara has lavished praise on Xherdan Shaqiri ahead of a potential move to Liverpool this summer, as per a report from the Daily Star.
The Swiss winger has a £12m relegation release clause in his current Stoke contract after being relegated to the Championship with them last season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side missed out on a deal to sign Lyon’s Nabil Fekir in recent times after the move for the Frenchman collapsed, and they are now on the lookout for new reinforcements.

Shaqiri is currently at the World Cup with Switzerland and is likely to resolve his future when his country exit the competition.
The Sky Sports pundit, who also played for Stoke in a two-year spell from 1978 until 1980 feels that if the Reds can pull the move off, it could be a really strong signing for Klopp’s side.
Kamara spoke about the quality of Shaqiri and just how good a signing he would be if he was to complete a move to Anfield:
Shaqiri is a brilliant player, absolutely fantastic. If Stoke manage to keep him in the Championship then that would be a miracle because he’s top class.
He would perform in a Liverpool team, that’s for sure. There is always room [in the team] for top-class players.
