Naby Keita could be fit to play for Liverpool in the Champions League final Guinea boss Paul Put has revealed in a surprising statement.
Keita suffered a thigh problem during Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final first leg defeat against Barcelona at the start of the month, and was initially ruled out for up to two months by Jurgen Klopp.

The midfielder looked certain to miss the Champions League final against Tottenham following the diagnosis, and was a major doubt for Guinea’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign this summer.
However, Guinea boss Put criticised the initial assessment of Keita’s injury and according to This is Anfield, now believes the midfielder could return to fitness in time to feature against Spurs and for his country this summer.
He consulted his doctor in Switzerland as I said at the beginning. He is in treatment with his doctor. It is said that he will maybe in two weeks [be ready] to resume [training] with the group.

It is even possible that he is in the group for the Champions League final if what I have been told is true. We will see. That’s the news that I got.
Guinea begin their Africa Cup of Nations campaign against Madagascar on June 22nd.
