Guinea are sweating over the fitness of Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita ahead of their clash against Burundi in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Reds star struggled with injury troubles throughout the course of last season and saw his maiden campaign at the club brought to a close when he was forced off in the team’s Champions League defeat at Barcelona on May 1.
Keita appeared to have then been ruled out of contention for his national team’s continental tournament this summer, but Guinea proceeded to include him in their squad for the competition in Egypt.

He made his first start in over two months as his country locked horns with Nigeria on Wednesday but was on the end of some robust challenges from Gernot Rohr’s men, prompting concerns over his fitness.
According to claims from journalist Chris Williams, the medical staff of Guinea are unsure about whether or not Keita will now be available for their final group stage game against Burundi on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp will hope that the former RB Leipzig midfielder will be managed carefully by national team boss Paul Put ahead of his second season at Anfield.
