Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has allayed fears that the injury Fabinho sustained in the team’s 2-0 win away at Cardiff City today is serious.
The Reds midfielder was introduced in the second half as the manager opted to add further solidity to his options in the middle of the park but lasted only four minutes in his cameo appearance.
Fabinho came off worse after a clash of heads with Kenneth Zohore and was forced to come off as a precautionary measure, avoiding any risk of a concussion-based blow.

Klopp, however, was quick to discuss the player’s condition and, as quoted by the club’s official website, insisted that the injury is now of no concern. He said:
It was very unlucky. Fabinho is okay but he had a bit of shaky legs and that’s of course not a good sign in the moment.
It’s a 100 per cent ‘yes’ or go off; if it’s 95 per cent in that game in that position, we cannot make that decision [to stay on]. It’s all good.
James Milner was introduced to take the place of the Brazilian and duly delivered in his absence, netting Liverpool’s second goal of the match after Mohamed Salah won a penalty.
This followed Georginio Wijnaldum’s opening effort earlier on in the second half as Liverpool clinched three more vital points.
