A cold and wet night in Wolverhampton brought two things for Liverpool fans; primarily, and most importantly, three points to mean the Reds would be top at Christmas. Secondly, and more worryingly, another injury to Naby Keita.
The Guinean midfielder has struggled for fitness this season, and has made 17 appearances in all competitions so far this term, including nine starts.
Having been kicked around the pitch for most of the first-half, Liverpool’s number 8 slumped to the turf on the hour mark, and had to be replaced by Adam Lallana.

His manager, however, didn’t sound too worried in the immediate aftermath of the game.
Quoted by the club website, Jürgen Klopp said:
Did you see it back the first two situations? Was it a penalty or not, because he had a proper cut on the foot and everyone said ‘diver!’, but you don’t get a cut from a dive I would say,
Then he had another one on his ribs, so that’s obviously [why] it didn’t work out. But it should be good. Two things which are a bit painful but I don’t think will be a problem for him.
