Jurgen Klopp told Sky Sports that the loss against Real Madrid last year in the Champions League final has only improved his men for their upcoming match against Tottenham Hotspur.
The defeat against Los Blancos left the Reds heartbroken after they lost 3-1 to the champions in Kiev. It was a hard-fought match which ended in the Premier League giants falling short of claiming another historic European trophy.
But now, a year on, Liverpool find themselves in the final once again. On Saturday, they will play their top-flight rivals Tottenham in Madrid for the prestigious honour.

Reds boss Klopp spoke about how last year’s Champions League loss helped to drive the team’s hunger for success further. He said:
It had a big influence on us. The plan was we come again, we will be there again. Now we are there, it’s just incredible. It was the kick-start for the development of this team, 100 per cent.
Liverpool narrowly missed out on Premier League glory, trailing Manchester City at the top of the table by just a point, and will hope to cap an impressive season with some silverware to show for their efforts.
