Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp claims that the prices for rooms and transport to get to the final in Madrid are “just crazy”.
The Reds earned their spot in the Champions League final after brushing aside Barcelona in a 4-0 victory at Anfield, winning the tie 4-3 on aggregate.
Since then, thousands of Liverpool fans have been booking their flights and hotel rooms in order to witness the final in Madrid.
The day after Liverpool’s gracious victory against the Spanish giants, Tottenham Hotspur pulled off a similar comeback against a strong Ajax side after winning 3-2 from being 2-0 down thanks to a Lucas Moura hat-trick.
However, due to the huge increase in demand, ticket prices for flights and rooms have since surged, leaving supporters unable to afford the journey.
Klopp has spoken out on the situation during his pre-match press conference, as reported by Goal’s Neil Jones.
These decisions, they must be much more sensible. It just looks irresponsible. A solution maybe, in the cities who get the final, maybe they have to make a price cut? I heard a room that is normally £100 is now £2700? Just crazy!
The German manager will be looking to ready his team for the final, as they come up against the North London club in what will be a thrilling match.
