Jurgen Klopp looks like he may need to reshape his defence when his Liverpool side travel to MK Dons on Wednesday night.
Both Yasser Larouci and Sepp van den Berg were among the players expected to feature during the game, with Klopp keen to rest some of his more important senior stars.
However, according to Neil Jones, both players are now struggling with injuries and could miss out.
Andy Robertson is one of the players expected to be rested for the game, so Klopp now has some decisions to make.
James Milner appears to be the most obvious choice, given his history of deputising in that position.
However, Klopp could also play Joe Gomez as an emergency left-back or even call upon the young and emerging Adam Lewis, a player who many behind the scenes at Anfield appear to have high hopes for.
Bringing in a player of Lewis’ potential would give fans an opportunity to see some of the talent coming through the ranks at Anfield.
