Coppa Italia winners SS Lazio are continuing to show interest in Liverpool’s out-of-favour left-back Alberto Moreno.
A story in Il Tempo, relayed on Sports Witness, says the Serie A side see Moreno as a good option to improve their squad, particularly on a free transfer with the Spaniard’s deal at Anfield expiring at the end of this month.
Earlier this year, Moreno was reportedly spotted in Rome during an international break, with rumours suggesting he was there in order to discuss a transfer to the side who finished 8th in Italy in 2018/19.
Moreno has had an up and down career at Liverpool since joining from Sevilla in 2014, starting off well but a number of high-profile errors and the signing of now first choice left-back Andy Robertson has seen him fall down the pecking order in recent years.

The 26-year-old has featured in just six Premier League games since December 2017, and is evidently no longer in Jurgen Klopp’s plans after no new deal was offered to him.
Now, it seems Moreno could be joining up with former Reds teammates Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto at Lazio as ‘Le Aquile’ look to bring in new additions as they prepare for next season in Serie A and the Europa League.
Previously, Moreno had been linked with moves to Arsenal, Barcelona, Benfica and Fenerbache but Lazio are now firm favourites to win the race for his signature this summer.
