NBA star LeBron James is enjoying the success of Liverpool as stakes in the club are worth a lot more than a few years ago, reports ESPN.
James was given a 2% stake in the club, worth about $6.5 million at the time, when his marketing firm LRMR agreed a deal with Fenway Sports Partners in back April 2011.
John W. Henry and Tom Werner bought the club in October 2010, for a price of $477 million, despite the old owners wanting nearly double that.

The club is now worth a whole lot more now, with the total value estimated at around $1.6 billion.
The upturn shows the success the club is now having. They finished sixth the season Henry bought the club, but this year, are set for a second successive finish in the top four of the Premier League, as well as an appearance in the Champions League final.
James will be delighted with the clubs’ success, that stake he has is now worth $32 million, and he will hope they can add to this by beating Real Madrid in Kiev on May 26.
