Leeds United have ended their interest in bringing Liverpool midfielder James Milner back to Elland Road, according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist, Phil Hay, cited by the Liverpool Echo.
The 33-year-old has admitted in the past that he would be keen on returning to his boyhood club, and the Whites were reportedly keen on striking a deal over the summer.

However, following Leeds’ failure to earn promotion back to the Premier League, the Whites will no longer attempt to lure Milner back to Elland Road.
Journalist Hay confirmed that the club will not be making an offer for the player when asked by a fan over Milner’s possible return to Leeds.

Milner has spent four years on Merseyside with Liverpool following his move from Manchester City, making over 200 Reds appearances during that time.
The Englishman has been a key member of the Reds side in recent years, with his versatility making him a fan favourite at Anfield, and it appears as if he will be staying at Liverpool over the summer.
