The experienced defender joins from German outfit Augsburg for a fee of (insert here). An experienced central defender ,Klavan has accumulated over 100 appearances for Estonia.
Louis Van Gaal previously signed the Estonian when he brought him to AZ Alkmaar in 2009, originally on loan before making the switch permanent in the summer.
Klavan became a key component in Alkmaar’s famous title triumph that season, a campaign which saw the Dutch minnows go on an unbeaten streak of 28 games.

He has spent the past four seasons in the Bundesliga with Augsburg and last year, he was only second to another new Liverpool defender, Joel Matip, for most defensive blocks throughout the season.
He was also fifth in the league for clearances as the small German outfit established themselves in the Bundesliga.
The powerful defender can also provide cover at left back which the club desperately need due to the unfortunate injury to Joe Gomez.
With Gomez and Mamadou Sakho injured, Tiago Llori off to the Olympics and both Kolo Toure and Martin Skrtel both having moved on, Liverpool needed to bring in some cover.
