Premier League legend spotted at Liverpool training ahead of Chelsea clash this weekend

Liverpool return to Premier League action this weekend with a visit from rivals Chelsea at Anfield.

The Reds have already gotten off to a great start with two wins from two, and are yet to concede a goal.

However, Chelsea have also started their season well with the exact same record as the Reds.

Saturday’s fixture will be highly contested with both teams wanting to keep hold of their 100% record so far.

This will no doubt mean the Reds are training intensely with no distractions ahead of the fixture.

Of course, this is the case, but they still managed to welcome former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger yesterday.

The Frenchman was seen at the club’s new Kirkby training complex, presenting Jurgen Klopp and four members of the squad their FIFA awards.

Since his retirement from the game, Wenger has become FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development.

He presented Klopp, Alisson, Thiago, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold with their awards as cited below…

Liverpool’s official Twitter account posted some great photos of the encounter, with Wenger receiving a great reception.

Conversations were had with former player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who he coached during his time at Arsenal.

The Frenchman no doubt offered some words of encouragement and advice ahead of their Chelsea clash.

Wenger enjoyed some incredible games against the Blues over the years and surely had some valuable advice.

Of course, Klopp is more than used to the London outfit, with an impressive record against the club.

Not only that but the German has a great record against fellow countryman Thomas Tuchel too.

Having played against each other 14 times, Klopp has won on 9 separate occasions, as well as drawing 3 games.

Liverpool kick-off against Chelsea at 5:30pm on Saturday, with three valuable points on the line.
