Liverpool have entered the race for Burnley striker, Danny Ings and are prepared to meet Burnley’s terms for the striker.
According to The Times, amongst other media, Liverpool are willing to loan Ings back to Burnley until the end of the season. Burnley don’t want Ings to move this window and Liverpool appreciate that.
Ings has scored seven goals in his debut season in the top flight and Burnley are reluctant to see Ings off now. Liverpool may be leading the race for Ings because of the willingness to let him go back on loan. Tottenham and Real Sociedad are supposedly interested in the 22 year-old, too. But Liverpool look to be in the most advanced position.
Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini have all failed to convince for Liverpool this season and with Sturridge’s injury problems, Ings is looked at for genuine competition as well as a big a potential.
Liverpool already have Divock Origi out on loan until the end of the season in a similar deal, so their lack of quality depth up front is still yet to be addressed for the remained of the season. However, Danny Ings may be wearing the famous red shirt at Anfield next season.
