Liverpool eye move for Piotr Zielinski

Jurgen Klopp is looking at the possibility of signing Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski in the summer transfer window.

The Liverpool manager is a keen admirer of the Polish international, who is under contract with Napoli until 2021.

According to the Daily Express, Klopp has been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old since he was on loan at Empoli three years ago.

The move would likely cost Liverpool upwards of £40 million as Zielinski has been in fine form for Napoli this season, scoring seven goals for the side that currently lie second in the table.

Napoli look like missing out on the title as they trail leaders Juventus by six points with six games to go.

Meanwhile Liverpool are in the semi-finals of the Champions League while also sitting third in the Premier League, and this could sway Zielinski into wanting a move away from Italy.

Klopp is known to be looking at bolstering his squad to challenge Manchester City for the title next season, and Zielinski could well be on his way to Anfield.
