Liverpool face fresh hurdles in attempts to sign £120m duo

Liverpool have completed the signing of Mohamed Salah from Roma, with the Reds confirming the transfer on their official website on Thursday night.

The below video has live reaction from the announcement, as well as the latest on the Naby Keita and Virgil van Dijk sagas.

Salah will wear the number 11 jersey at Anfield, with the player who previously had that number, Roberto Firmino, becoming the Reds’ new number nine.

The Brazilian has kindly offered all fans who had already purchased a replica kit with his name and number 11 on the back a signed version of that shirt.

Jurgen Klopp will now look to lock in the rest of his targets. The Liverpool Echo have reported that Red Bull Leipzig are reluctant to sell Keita, with their CEO Oliver Mintzlaff saying: “It would be negligent to sell one of our key players now.”

The price for the Guinean would be around £50m says Joe Rimmer, which isn’t dissimilar to what they would need to fork out for Southampton’s van Dijk, who John Aldridge is keen to see at Liverpool, as per the Echo.
