Some Liverpool fans are delighted by Virgil van Dijk‘s progress as he recovers from serious injury, following another social media post from the Dutchman.
The centre-back has been absent since the middle of October, when he suffered cruciate ligament damage in the 2-2 draw away to Everton.
It was a monumental blow at the time, both for Liverpool and Van Dijk, and he is not expected to play again this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s champions have battled on bravely without the 29-year-old around, topping the Premier League table, but they still haven’t looked quite the same force.
Van Dijk has been providing updates on his injury recovery, posting photos and videos in Liverpool’s gym, and he did exactly that on Tuesday, showing footage of him working hard on an exercise bike.

These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to reveal their joy at seeing him continue his recovery, with some even hopeful that he could feature again in 2020/21.
