Liverpool midfielder and captain Jordan Henderson has been ruled out of the team’s clash against Watford on Saturday.
The Englishman suffered an injury during last week’s UEFA Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid in Spain.
Manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Hendo will miss the league encounter but Brazilian Fabinho believes that the captain’s absence will provide a good chance for other players to step up and show their quality.
The defensive midfielder, who is valued at £63m by Transfermarkt, had an injury earlier this season and Henderson filled in for him. Now it is time for the former Monaco man to do the same for his captain.
Many fans believe that Henderson’s leadership was missed during their last league match, which they won 3-2 at Anfield against West Ham United.
However, some fans are confident that Fabinho is good enough to fill in the captain’s shoes against the Hornets and took to Twitter to give the player some confidence ahead of the clash.
