Liverpool fans hail Adrian after Reds beat Sheffield United

A number of Liverpool fans have lauded Adrian on social media, following an impressive performance against Sheffield United.

The Reds returned to winning ways on Sunday night, beating the Blades 2-0 at Bramall Lane.

After other Premier League results had gone in Liverpool’s favour during the weekend, Jurgen Klopp’s champions knew that victory was imperative.

For a while, it looked as though it could be another frustrating day at the office, with Aaron Ramsdale in inspired form during a goalless first half.

Curtis Jones eased the nerves with a clinical finish, however, setting Liverpool on their way to victory. Roberto Firmino’s shot then deflected in off Kean Bryan to seal the win, with an own goal credited to the Blades man.

Adrian started in the absence of Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher, producing a faultless showing between the sticks.

In a classy gesture after the game, the Spaniard dedicated the win to Alisson, who wasn’t playing after losing his father earlier in the week.

These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to heap praise on Adrian, on a good night for the divisive 34-year-old.
