Goals from Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane gave Jurgen Klopp’s men a 3-1 victory over their title rivals, with Bernardo Silva pulling a late consolation back for the away side.

Hendo certainly produced another captain’s performance against City, making those who suggested he shouldn’t have started eat their words.
His work rate throughout was superb, as was his assist for Mane’s goal. Klopp substituted him towards the end of the game and his absence was felt as City pushed for a way back into the game.
