Liverpool appear to have been handed a transfer boost in their pursuit of RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
German giants Bayern Munich had appeared to be the favourites to land the signature of the highly rated 23-year old, but reports now claim that the club have cooled their interest.
Mirror Sport claim that the Bavarians have been put off by Leipzig’s £50million valuation, and have reportedly turned their full attention to Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, who they have been pursuing for the last few weeks.

This could leave the door open for Liverpool to make a move for the forward, with Jurgen Klopp looking to bring in another attacker this summer.
Liverpool also believe Leipzig’s price is a little steep, although given their working relationship after signing Naby Keita last summer, they may feel they can bring that fee down.
Liverpool’s recent Champions League success puts them in an advantageous position, and the lure of working under Klopp could be key in bringing the Germany international to the Premier League this summer.
