Nicolas Pepe is a name that won’t stop getting mentioned this summer after impressing in the French league for high-flying Lille last season.
This comes after the 24-year-old scored 22 goals and provided a further 11 assists to propel Lille to an astonishing second place and secure them Champions League football.
Manchester United look to rival Liverpool for his signature, but without a top-four finish, Pepe may be more inclined to join the new European Champions in hope to compete with the likes of Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi for a starting place rather than settle for a spot in the Europa League.

Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, Duncan Castles stated there has not yet been an offer for the player from the Liverpool, but an enquiry has been made.
With Sturridge set to leave it may well be a sensible option to secure the services of the French-born winger ahead of next season.
Castles even believes the Reds should prioritise him ahead of Ajax’s Matthijs de Ligt.
They have made an enquiry with Lille’s forward Nicolas Pepe.
As yet, I’m told, there’s not an offer into Lille for the player. But that to me is a much better addition to Liverpool than De Ligt at present.
Wherever Liverpool look to strengthen this summer, young additions like Pepe himself surely will have more reward than risk involved.
